Recovered from the shop anvil, this is the genuine artical, *not* magnetic sand or any other substitute.
Since the dawn of ironwork, blacksmiths have been regarded as semi-magical creatures for their ability to take raw ore and consolidate it into iron and steel, and then into useful tools or fine weapons. 'Anvil dust,' also known as scale or slag, is iron oxide that is blown off of steel as it is worked between the hammer and anvil. Used for 'feeding' lodestones, as a component of good-luck and protective amulets, and as an ingredient of 'goofer dust,' it is widely regarded as having great power when used correctly.
Our anvil dust comes in a small glass vial with a cork stopper. Each vial contains approximately 30g of dust.
